Vietnamese speaking consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Vietnamese-speaking Consultant to support our efforts in connecting UK-based renewable energy suppliers with potential projects in Vietnam. This role will involve identifying project opportunities, navigating local regulatory requirements, coordinating with Vietnamese stakeholders, and facilitating communication between international suppliers and Vietnamese project developers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Research and Opportunity Identification
   • Identify and assess renewable energy projects in Vietnam with potential, including wind, solar projects, etc.
   • Analyze specific project requirements to identify equipment and technology suitable with local needs.
2. Supplier connection
   • Coordinate communication between UK-based suppliers and Vietnamese project developers.
   • Verify suppliers’ capabilities and certifications to ensure they meet Vietnamese market standards.
   • Maintain relationships with local partners, including developers, lawyers, and government authorities.
3. Partnership Development and Contract Negotiation
   • Facilitate contract discussions, such as investment or technical consulting agreements.
   • Assist in establishing collaboration agreements and ensuring mutual alignment on project terms and requirements between suppliers/investors and project developers in Vietnam
4. Regulatory and Compliance Support
   • Collaborate with local legal teams to ensure compliance with Vietnamese regulatory and legal standards.
   • Support the documentation process for obtaining necessary permits for project investments and equipment import.
5. Project Implementation and Technical Support
   • Advise to provide technical and logistical support for the installation and operation of renewable energy equipment.
   • Facilitate technology transfer, training, and ongoing maintenance support.
6. Project Monitoring and Evaluation
   • Track project progress and report on performance metrics to ensure alignment with project standards.
   • Conduct regular evaluations to maintain quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Language: Fluent in both Vietnamese and English.
• Experience: 5+ years in consulting or project management, ideally within the renewable energy or environmental sector.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Vietnamese energy market, especially renewable energy regulations and standards.
• Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
